Well this is a topic worthy of discussion! Real Estate commissions have always been negotiable and over the years, customs and practices have evolved. Recently, however, we have had some changes in the rules dealing with advertising commissions on the MLS. The focus is still on getting you results which might mean, as a seller, for you to offer a concessions to a Buyer's Broker. As a Buyer this may require a bit more work on the part of your agent to get as much of your costs covered in the negotiation as possible.
